PHYSICAL THERAPY

Physical therapists can address bed mobility, fall risk reduction, walking, and step negotiation. The adult may want to return to a sport after an injury or medical issue.  The individual may be having difficulty with managing health and wellness. A variety of treatment interventions are used including therapeutic exercise, mobility/safety training, prevention programs, coordination and agility activities. Our Physical Therapists also specialize in techniques using ultrasound, iontophoresis, massage, dry needling, cupping, transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation, and much more!

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

Occupational Therapists (OT) and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) focus on helping people maximize their safety and independence with occupations. A person's occupations can include ADLs (dressing, grooming, bathing, etc.), school/work, leisure, sleep, socialization, and IADLs (meal prep, driving, laundry, etc.) OTs address deficits in any of these areas, whether resulting from injury, illness, or age related changes, by using a variety of intervention approaches which can include neurological/neuromuscular re-education, sensory re-education, strength and endurance training, coordination, cognition, environmental modification, adaptations, etc.

SPEECH THERAPY

Certified Speech-Language Pathologists (or speech therapists) can address delays and disorders related to speech, language, voice, fluency, literacy, pragmatics, hearing, and swallowing/feeding.  Our speech therapists specialize in techniques using DTTC, NMES, phonological approaches, oral motor exercises, PROMPT, AAC, sign language, language modeling, and more.  Speech Therapy is used for injury recovery, surgery recovery, post-stroke, traumatic brain injury recovery, hearing loss/aural rehab, dysphagia, and more.
